This recipe for our Vanilla Passion Fruit Lemonade was created for one of our customers in Birmingham, the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
The recipe based on the formula we came up with for our Collins and lemonades mix, designed for busy venues without the time to make everything from scratch. This also make it perfect for bars who have casual staff from time to time like theatres and arenas where the demand can change hugely based on what show is on.
Currently in the UK one of the best selling drinks across the country is the Pornstar Martini created by Douglas Ankrah at the Lab Bar in London many years back. The flavour combination of passion fruit and vanilla with citrus and fizz is a direct reference to that drink. It’s also the combination that made the Walls Solero ice cream incredibly popular when it was introduced!
Easy to pre-batch so when the interval hits at the theatre, the staff are able to keep up with around 1000 drinks being served in 20 mins, there is no reason any bar wouldn’t be able to serve this quickly.
Vanilla Passion Fruit Lemonade Recipe for Pre-Batching:
To pre-batch this drink by re-using our Lemon Juice, Lime Juice or Syrup bottles, he’s the ingredients for 15 servings:
To serve, simply pour 50ml over ice in a collins glass, fill with soda water and stir.
As always, we love to keep everything as sustainable as possible and avoid any spoilage, so we garnish our lemonades with dehydrated lemon wheels to avoid fresh fruit waste.
Of course, you can switch out the passion fruit for any of our purees to create your own lemonade recipe, and if you don’t want the vanilla, our white or brown sugar syrups will give a more simple flavour. But why not go big with Cucumber and Watermelon as another combination, or Basil & Chilli? The options are endless!
